I would give Sleep Number a negative…

I would give Sleep Number a negative score if I could. Bought bed and base early spring in the store. Store clerk assured me that the bed had 100 night "free" trial and the base would work with any non-sleep number mattress if i decided to return the sleep number mattress. So bed arrives and we have numerous issues (keeps going flat, sagging in middle, lots of backpain despite changing sleep number). Call customer service and they ship us a topper and send a technician to "fix" bed. Still awful so we return it. We were charged $400 for delivery and take away for this "free" trial. Now, I had ordered over $397.95 of sheets and bedding that we had never opened. Call sleep number to return and they send ups label (they charged $7 for this). Never received refund. First they said i had never returned anything (thank goodness for tracking numbers). Then they said they had already credited my accout (thank goodness for banks). Then they finally said I needed to contact my bank again. Now today (September 1) Sleep Number has billed me AGAIN for these sheets instead of giving me a credit. So, they have now deducted $795.90 from my account for the sheets that i have already returned a month ago. Call customer service and nobody can figure it out. Still waiting. Addendum: Turns out if you don't use a sleep number mattress the base is essentially useless. Can't login to account to even adjust the thing anymore and the heat and lights won't work without a sleep number mattress. Despite being told it would work by the store clerk and no mention of these issues in my legal documents, the $3000+ base remains nonrefundable.

When the bed works it's great, problem is it doesn't always work

I have had the bed for a number of months the underbed lighting comes on in the middle of the night, I turn it off and it comes on when I am in bed, sleepnumber tech support had me unplug it and plug it back in. It worked for a little while then started up again, I got tired of unplugging and plugging in the bed; after calling again I had to argue for 40 minutes to get a tech to come to the house to fix the sensor it took another 6 minutes to get a tech scheduled. Hopefully the problem gets fixed

If I could leave a no star I would

My dream bed was always a sleep number. But I want to tell anyone that tries to purchase one. Don't! I've had nothing but trouble with that bed. Customer service sucks. Continue to send wrong parts. And charge me for them. And refuse to do a refund. I could go on and on about this company. But just know if you buy a bed from now you will regret it. 100 words is not enough time to explain to you how bad my experience has been. I wish to God I never walked into that store and purchased a bed. I have not had a good nights sleep since I bought it. The bed keeps deflating and when they give you a timeframe. They do not honor it. Please be mindful of who you buy bed from. Everybody does not have money to waste. I'm supposed to have one of the good bed. It sucks! Customer service sucks more. I wish I had a read the reviews before I purchased my bed. You can buy a bed off Amazon and get the same reaction. Sleep number sucks!

Bad customer service and bad bed

The bed is a glorified air mattress. The customer service from Terry at the Geneva location and the women that works there is horrible. They do not return calls. When I bought it, Terry said the only dollars I would be out if I returned the bed was the $250 delivery fee. Then he remembered that was waived for Memorial Day and I would be out nothing. This was important to me as I had not shopped around yet and would not have bought without further research. He said why not try it since I'd get a full refund and not lose on a delivery fee due to the Holiday. Now I find out there is a return fee of $250. When I told him I'm disappointed that he did not volunteer this information to me, he called me a liar. He claims there is no possibility he mistakenly left out that information, therefore I am a liar. Basically, he claims to be incapable of error. The lady that works with him who I first spoke with promised that they would call back about my situation but clearly they disregarded me call.

Delivery nightmare.

Can't honestly review the comfort because I haven't been able to lay on the damn thing. It was to be delivered between 9 and 2 today. Sounds like the cable guy, right? But wait, there's more. Got a call at 11:20, the truck is delayed and will be there at the later part of the estimate. OK. I waited and I waited. At 2:30 I had to leave, left my wife there alone. Called sleep #. Quote, "if I had to bet my life on it, 30 to 45 minutes."
LOL. At 4:30 wife calls, still no bed, this is 2 hours after the "bet my life" call. Mr."bet my life would be dead 3 times already. I call again, 2 minutes, they are right down the road. 25 minutes later, NOT 2, the truck finally pulls up. Now, gotta give em credit for the set up. Just about 30 minutes, the old mattress was out, the sleep number was in and set up done. Good job!. Now, if they give you a time for delivery, flip a coin, call the psychic hot line, do a weegee board but no way do you trust these people.

Warranty bad

Bed goes flat called they said i need new pump only 3 yrs. Old bad i not recommend no one to buy this bed junk

Garbage product

Garbage product! Basically buying two garbage air mattresses and a VERY CHEAP mattress topper! Purchased 4 years ago and Is now out front in garbage! Problem is they deceiving pillow top is nothing more than a cheap mattress topper polyurethane foam pad. The air mattress is also junk they sag so bad in the middle even at 100 still sag cheap materials! 15 year warranty is a joke! They want to charge for what they say is most expensive price the foam pad they call a pillow top. Any big box store sells mattress toppers and better quality. So their prorated warranty is like their beds worthless!!!

Don't waste your money

Don't waste your money. Our bed is only 2.5 years old, and the mattress sags to the middle, no matter "number" you choose. No longer comfortable, at all! The motor to move the head/feet up or down is also very noisy. I like to read with the head up, while my husband sleeps. But when I lower the head, to motor noise wakes him up. Unacceptable! Also, DO NOT buy their overpriced linens! The $99 foam pillows that are sooo comfortable in the showroom break down after two months. The sheets wore out in two years, and they were rotated with an online purchased set (half the price), so really they only lasted a little over a year. When I called customer service, they told me the sheets were only warrantied for one year. Due to the sagging of Sleep Number, we are now sleeping on the $275 mattress we bought at IKEA, and snoozing well, using sheets I bought at JC Penneys over 20 years ago.

Stay away from sleep number mattres!

This mattress feels exactly like an air mattress. We got ours over a month ago and I haven't been able to have a good night sleep since. I am a healthy 125 lbs person with no chronic pain. Every morning I wake up sore in this bed all over and sometimes with sciatica pain.
You definitely sink towards the middle at night. The sleep IQ is just a joke. It tracks my sleep from 6-11 pm?! When I'm not even in bed. We called and told them that the bed squeaks. A technician came to check it. We said that it feels and sounds like air mattress. He said yes! IT IS AN AIR MATTRESS! They should say that to everyone. This is an expensive air mattress. And there's no free trial! The mattress was 1300$ and they deduct shipping fee when you return it which is total of 500$. I am so happy they delayed our delivery last minute and I canceled the frame that I ordered. I read everywhere that you can't return that. Much different than what we tried in the store. And the worse part is, I wrote two reviews with low rating and they deleted them. I talked to customer service which told me they review them and delete spams. No wonder on theirs website their rating is above 4 and everywhere else it's 2/5! They tricked me with this!

You do and you are stuck with the very expensive adjustable frame. Something that should have been told to you when you purchased it. I was fortunate in that I ordered on the phone and the call was recorded so after they reviewed the call and found that the call taker had neglected to tell me this, they ended up taking everything back at their expense which saved me from having to keep that frame and lose thousands of dollars.
